About me

Kirsten Staton is a DONA-certified birth doula as well as a certified lactation consultant. A Nashville native, she has spent eleven years in NYC and currently resides in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with her husband Tyler and two little boys Hank and Simon. Kirsten is passionate about leading women through the journey of birth, confidently empowering them to access their own body’s strength in a safe and judgment-free environment. She provides unwavering support, medicated or unmedicated, in a hospital, birth center, or at home.

All mothers deserve to feel connected to their births, no matter the circumstances. There is no one path to being a wonderful mother. Pregnancy, labor and postpartum do not always follow our careful plans, however we can still remain connected, informed, and empowered. As a doula, I want to bring my clients dignity and honor, and help provide connection to their baby in every moment, both the ones we predict and the ones we are urged to adjust to.
